New: Hyaluronic Acid-Based Hydrogels

Hyaluronic acid is now available as an integral part of 3-D Life Hydrogels, expanding the range of 3-D Life design possibilities.

Hyaluronic acid is an important component in the extracellular matrix of many tissue types such as skin, cartilage, brain, or connective tissue (1). It is found in microenvironments of stem cells, it is enriched in tumor and tumor-associated stromal tissue and plays important roles in morphogenesis and wound healing.

Cellendes offers new products for simple setup of biomimetic hydrogels containing hyaluronic acid, provided in a thiol-modifed form (HyLink). HyLink acts as a crosslinker of thioreactive dextran (SG-Dextran) or polyvinyl alcohol (SG-PVA). As a part of the 3-D Life Hydrogel technology all features of 3-D Life Hydrogels can be utilized:

  • Tunable gel stiffness
  • Modification with cell adhesion peptides (e.g. RGD)
  • Easy and non-cytotoxic cell recovery for post-culture analysis

Fibroblasts Fibroblasts grown in SG-Dextran/Hylink modified with 0.5 mmol/L RGD Peptide.

Human pancreatic organoids grown for 6 days in SG-Dextran/Hylink modified with 1 mmol/L RGD Peptide (2).
